libterm-readline-zoid-perl software package provides Pure Perl implementation of Readline libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libterm-readline-zoid-perl
libterm-readline-zoid-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libterm-readline-zoid-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libterm-readline-zoid-perl *
